The first option in the listing will have (default) written behind the app. Hover the cursor on Open With and observe the dialogue box that appears. Lookup a PDF file on your Mac and right-click or tap it with two fingers. IMHO, if you are able to post at all, there is no impediment to beginning a thread. Check the Default PDF Viewer on Mac Step 1. When you attempted to post and start a thread, did you go to "new?" That would bring up a template for starting a thread. I have no idea why some are embedded and some are icons. Does anyone know how to access help for the forum? Thanks I do know that this is a user community but it does run under Apple's site, so I would assume that they moderators, administrators, etc like for other user communities who can help in a case like this one. It is really not a good thing for Apple to require that I use a PC to get help for other problems for the Mac. I am wondering if there is an administrator for this form who can provide help in the is case. It doesn't do anything beyond allowing me to enter the subject.

I tried to post again a new question from the Mac and I CANNOT do it. Going back to the other topic I had in this thread: I can go back to this thread on the Mac. Why is that some PDFs some PDFs come in as icons others are embedded? On Mac: open Finder -> locate and select your PDF file -> click File -> choose Get Info -> expand the Open with category -> choose Adobe Acrobat. So maybe there is something "strange" about the one I cannot see/open on the Mac, only on the PC. Two came across as Icons, two were embedded in the Email.
